outfit post: just another striped tee..

Um Brisbane? Have you gone crazy, it's winter! So why are you giving me sunny day's to wear skirts? But i'm not complaining, I love going from summer dressing during the day to winter dressing of a night time. And all I had to change to this outfit was throw on my black leather pants instead of my skirt! But seriously, Queensland is having such a gorgeous winter this year, bright blue skies and sun out nearly every day. 

My mum say's stripes are consuming me, which is true because nearly every good top I own involves stripes! I can now see where Christie from Dark Blue Stripes is coming from! But you can never go wrong with minimalistic styling of a great striped tee or blouse. 

I will be releasing some pretty exciting news soon, which involves a project I have been working on (may or may not involve my love of shopping).  So can I ask my followers a question? What are the key things you look for when you shop online? I would really love to know.

outfit post: flower power

Just a quick post for today! These were taken the other week (apologies for terrible iPhone quality) when my family and I went down to the waterfront for some lunch and a walk with my dog. I love my Zara look alike skort and it is just so comfortable. The look of a skirt with the flexibility to move without the awkward underwear flashing! I adore the colours of this top and am going to experiment it with some different textures and layers soon. Keep an eye out for some more outfit posts coming up this week. I also received some feedback on my blog from a fellow fashion blogger the other day and have used her feedback to improve my blog! Let me know what you think and how I could improve. outfit post: the grunge effect

Today I went for a very 'grungy' look, which is a bit different for me but I liked it! Another shot with my angled leather skirt which may I say is much more comfier with stockings thrown under neath to avoid the back riding up. Was going to throw a jacket over, but it wasn't that cool. A leather jacket or white blazer would still have gone quite well with it to give it a winter feel. I'm back up and running, my bruising came out in my face today but nothing a little makeup couldn't fix! Had to avoid facing the camera a lot, but I was still over the moon to be back out shooting my outfits. Officially on holidays, which means no more assessment, yay! Enjoy the upcoming week my friends.

Such gorgeous weather today in Brisbane, who would have even known what season it was! However despite it one can not say that black leather and heat go well together. By the end of this shoot my legs felt like they were on fire! I pass by this wall everyday on the train and have only just noticed how cool it would be to shoot in front of it! From what I could gather it was next to a tattoo shop and a few of the graffiti pictures incorporated tattoo guns, so I assumed it was their work. 

Now this may seem weird, but I love the effect leather look pants have on your ankles. I spotted these Bardot leather pants the other week and decided i'd give them some thought, when i'd made my decision to buy them I was lucky I did. Last pair in stock, and my size- talk about luck! They are really well fitting and have zips at the ankles, to choose to show off a bit of leg or to keep them in the pants (see what I did there, haha). I can't wait to introduce them to lot's of the other winter clothes in my wardrobe so be prepared to see them some more in winter posts. 

Now my shoes! Just to talk about luck some more, I found these on ASOS but they were in black and suede. I looked at them and thought to myself "If only they were white, and leather". But they didn't and I couldn't find anything remotely similar to the heeled sandal within my struggling budget so I had set my decision on the black. Only to find out they were sold out, but they had white available! So without a single doubt in my mind, I bought them there and then. When they arrived I was a bit bummed to see they were a little big, but the perks of working in a shoe shop, I knew how to fix the slight problem ASAP. And not sure if i'd mentioned, but I got my first tattoo last month and this is my first post which shows it off.

It's here, it's here! My holographic clutch is here, and even better in person! Today is just another typical monochromatic blog post. Seriously, it's so hard for me to buy colour! I just don't know what colours work with my skin tone, downside of being so pale. So incredibly in love with this fur/woollen cardigan, i'm sure my boyfriend could agree that it is so snuggly. It adds a good texture to any outfit and is possibly one of the warmest jackets i've worn. Unfortunately I don't think Queensland is going to receive the winter I was hoping for, a part from today this week has been absolutely gloomy, wet and cold. *sad face* But it was lovely to see a bit of sun out today! 

I've been wanting to do a shoot at this location for a while, just a local lake that looks gorgeous of an afternoon as the sun does down. However I must say that's about all it's got going for it! 

Still hanging out for the days when my Romwe order arrives, but for when it does. Watch out!

outfit post: birthday details

Ah today is my birthday! Finally 18 (woot, woot). I bought this outfit online weeks ago, but thought it was too perfect to pull out for no special occasion. So today it was my "birthday outfit". I am in love with this leather skirt and it's just such a perfect flattering fit for me, I feel so sexy in it! And jelly shoes, how comfortable are they? Can anyone remind me why I hadn't invested in some earlier?

Today's adventures included: receiving plenty of presents (including the gorgeous diamond ring shown from my wonderful boyfriend and clear jellies from my wonderful friend), drinking my first legal cocktail and playing the pokie machines at the local tavern. Sounds so bogan, but because my birthday falls on a public holiday I have not had birthday festivities in a few years, so I was just so humbled that I could spend today with my family and closet friends. Getting so excited to continue the wonderful celebrations over the weekend as I spend the weekend in Brisbane City with some beautiful people. Get ready to be fed with a few blog posts about it all! 

Oh & I also got my haircut on Monday, may not look any different but I decided to chop a lot off, because I wanted a fresh new look and hair feel to go with my fresh new future of being an adult!

This is what I wore to college today! The weather was so random, and I really couldn't pick it. However I really desperately wanted an excuse to show off my newly purchased boyfriend jeans. I was quite hesitant to buy these and it took me a while. 

Only recently did I go through a stage of hating jeans and the way they looked at me, but last year I bought my first pair of jeans and ever since I love wearing jeans however I have to have the perfect pair that compliments my body shape. These are so comfortable and I have to say I like them so much better than all of my skinny pairs of jeans! As soon as I got home my ASOS parcel had also arrived which meant I could throw my new platforms on with it! 

I think this outfit is so casual and definitely very 'boyfriendy', but I love it because I think with the right accessories, shoes and makeup it becomes so easy to make it such a feminine outfit. 

So... What is everyone's opinions on boyfriend jeans this season? Yay or Nay?
